no idea what im doing wrong

Well all amped up i was to play on this server ><
It seems it wont let me login saying my account or id or password isnt correct
i've done everything i was told to do
but just in case il write down the steps i did

i went to fileplanet.com downloaded the interlude client
Installed into c:/programs flies/ lineage 2
i then patched the main game
tried going to start > run > C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts pressed ok
which didnt work for me at all so i then went to start > search typed in hosts
a HOSTS file came up i put the 72.81.225.52 L2authd.lineage2.com underneath the 127.0.0.1 localhost thing started up the game
entered a username then password
didnt work =/
i also have a LMHOSTS that i opened first but didnt mess with anything it has some messed up text in there and there is also a lmhosts with a bunch of interlude stuff in that
meh i tried as much as i can hopefully some genius will be able to help me out =D

did you try what I suggested before?

One thing players always seem to forget when they try to reinstall Lineage2. I recommend after you uninstall L2 that you then go to

--> Start
--> My Computer
--> Local disk C:\ (in most cases this is where your program files are located)
--> Program Files

Now that you are in your program files folder you should delete the Lineage2 folder then do a fresh install. 99.99999% of the time this will fix any problem you may encounter. Good luck my fellow gamers :D

If you where banned you would not be on the forums so its not that. Try this:

--> Start
--> Run
--> Type cmd
--> Enter (this takes you to a DOS prompt)
--> Type ping 72.81.255.52


If you do not get a reply, you are either being blocked from your ISP or firewall.

1:download the l2 interlude silent.Then update it to kamael
if you have the kamael just instal it or download it
2:go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
and open the host file with notepad
under this line ---->127.0.0.1 localhost
wright
216.107.250.194 nprotect.lineage2.com
72.81.249.24 L2authd.lineage2.com
and then go to system of l2 and 2click l2exe
then you are ready to play have fun :)
