it was either a dell, compaq, or gateway, Ive have probelms with both compaq and gateway (thier cutomer service) so I thought Ide give Dell thier chance
and before anyone says well why dont you just build your own... I still plan too but on my salery itll take more then 5 years to build it.

guys the fact of the matter is that 1 I dont have the time to build my own, and 2 its more expensive(this one is costing me 1099, the one Herc showed me from new egg was 1129), I only bring home about 550-600$ USD a mth wich isnt much so with my helping out here donating, keeping my 2 accounts going on retail, and keeping my website up I dont have all that much to play with
I know about the problems with Dell, as with all comapnys every one of them has thier own problems, I have a build it yourself atm and its got more problems then if I had jsut gotten one though the big comapny becasue of the fact theres no customer server on build it yourselfs. Eventually I will be building a better box then the one Im even getting but for now Ill pay out the money to get a better pc then the one I got.
If this tells you anything on the box I have now I cant participate in seidges even if I could becaue I lagg into Crits, Lag and have died to mobs, cant dual box as affecently as I would like to, and on retail I cant go into Giran because the lag casued crits me out. So instead of spending 1-2 weeks waiting for a delivery, then another 1-2 weeks putting the PC togther Ide rather jsut spend the money to get it sent to me already put togther and build a better one as a hobby.

the only problem i see besides the dell/hp thing is that you have xp home.><
should get pro or media edition.
and yea hp has a program that they told me *Is a nesassary evil* their words.
its a type of malware.so they can fix the pc when the noobs delete stuff.
the only way to get rid of it is to crack their partition.and g/l with that lol.

Just wanted to give you some input before u make ur purchase since ive been scouting round for a new pc as well:
1) Please wait till after July 22 to get new CPU
"In the most updated plan, Intel Quad-Core Core 2 Quad Q6600 (2.4GHz/4MB L2 x2/1066MHzFSB) will be further cut to $266, a second drop within 4 months since its release on March with 68.7% accumulated price drop. For the original price segment of Core 2 Quad Q6600, now it will be replaced by a new model Quad Q6700 (2.66GHz/4MB L2 x2/1066MHzFSB), pricing at $530."
=> to summarize the new quad's will be lowered in price so they are the same as the core duo. If you are running multi-threaded applications then i recommend the quad, if however you are a lighter user then the core duo E6850 would be better as it has higher clocking speed and FSB speed (speed it talks to the ram).
2) I don't recommend getting a gfx card with "turbo cache"
"Combines the capacity and bandwidth of dedicated video memory with dynamically allocated system memory"
although turbo cache has "higher performance" it shares the gfx ram with ur actual ram so if u're a heavy gamer its not so good.
3) Also i believe if you plan to over clock ur comp, the DDRS-800 is better
Hope that helps, the recommendations i made will probably set you back a bit more but u'll b getting a gruntier pc so its up to you really =D. I personally like to spend a bit more so i dont have to upgrade so much.
