So, I am sitting here with a migraine today, bouncing messages back and forth with a few friends, when I get this out of the blue from an old friend that seems to be a GM on another server now. So, since I had to suffer laughing with a migraine, I figure to share the wealth. Sorry if I am not so good at telling it as he was though.
Seems he responded to a frozen Olympiad issue on his server last night, and when he ported to an arena with players there were two dwarves laying dead on the ground. Fake death it seems, and both had striders out attacking each other, and both dwarves were in local chat arguing over which of them had won. It seems that both had summoned their strider then used fake death the moment the match had started. Neither had actually been hit by either opponent or strider, and both believed they should get the points for the match.
So, why am I laughing so hard? To hear him tell the story, picture it in your mind these two dwarves laying on the arena ground fake dead saying things like "I used fake death first, so I won!" and see if you don't find it funny. Or maybe I'm just weird that I find that scene totally amusing.
