Yes, you must change your hosts files to connect.

I did and now i get the message:

"The connection to the update server has been terminated."

What am i doing wrong ?

yeah I'm getting the same, i think the servers down for a while. It was ok a while ago. Try later.

You have to use your system folder not the updater.

guys use the l2.exe in your system folder to start the game.... DONT use the lineageII.exe in your lineage2 directory

Still cant get it 2 work
 
Yeah i went 2 my systems and opened it there it worked and first now i get an error everytime like ill login and get to the sever choosing part and blam i get a error can some one help me im done getting owned by errors :/!

Me too i first had that what you did is you started the updater and it started downloading..

Well same here i though i have to download all files for all to work properly... and now i can login and accept the user agreement's but when i wanna select server "Blackbird" it doesn't do anything.
